Steel Cut Oatmeal

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of Steel Cut Oatmeal
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon organic butter
  • 1/3 cup Coconut milk (vanilla) or Almond Breeze (vanilla or chocolate flavor)
  • (Optional) seasonal fruit, add to taste
  1. Melt organic butter in bottom of pan, add Steel Cut Oatmeal into skillet.
  2. Toast oats in butter until they smell of roasted nuts. While toasting, boil cup of water in another pan.
  3. Slowly add boiled water to the toasted oats.
  4. Cover and simmer on low heat for 25-30 minutes (or desired consistency).
  5. Add Coconut milk (or Almond Breeze) and fruit.
  6. Makes a delicious breakfast or a light evening meal.
