Steel Cut Oatmeal
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of Steel Cut Oatmeal
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon organic butter
- 1/3 cup Coconut milk (vanilla) or Almond Breeze (vanilla or chocolate flavor)
- (Optional) seasonal fruit, add to taste
- Melt organic butter in bottom of pan, add Steel Cut Oatmeal into skillet.
- Toast oats in butter until they smell of roasted nuts. While toasting, boil cup of water in another pan.
- Slowly add boiled water to the toasted oats.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for 25-30 minutes (or desired consistency).
- Add Coconut milk (or Almond Breeze) and fruit.
- Makes a delicious breakfast or a light evening meal.
